An entire world lies beyond these shores, yet the vast majority of Americans seldom give it a thought. We are a people psychologically isolated. Isolated by geography, isolated by the Mainstream Media, isolated by our Government, and isolated by our own choices. We have become the ultimate society of ‘me’. We were deliberately led to believe that a lifestyle built of apathy and instant gratification came without cost. So much for Bread and Circuses. Now the bills are coming due, and our pockets are empty.
These are hard words to hear but true, but only part of the blame is our own. The sad fact is that we have been lied to over and over again by those who profit from an imposed ignorance. Our Government, our Media and our Schools (as an arm of the Government) are complicit in building a society based upon lies, deceit, and the destruction of a traditional social consciousness.
There has been a deliberate and systematic dumbing down of the American People in order that we can be easily led. Like a great herd of cattle, we exist only to be exploited by those in power. We are ill used. We are robbed. We are deprived of truth, and when war becomes profitable, we become weapons in the hands of our masters. We have in effect become slaves, and as long as we remain ignorant, we remain so.
So, this is our choice. We choose to remain ignorant, or we choose to liberate ourselves. There is no third path, and there is no superhero coming to the rescue. There is only us.
